I'm the owner of Bear Rose Botanicals. I'm a groundskeeper and landscape designer based in King County, Washington, with a background in the design, construction, and maintenance of landscapes, as well as in irrigation installation, stormwater management, and permacultural garden design.
Services include weeding, raking, mowing, edging, trimming, shearing, and pruning. Lawn services, such as aeration and dethatching, require a free consultation prior to implementation. Arbor services are not included, with the exception of small branch/tree care. And yes, we do use electric equipment when possible to reduce our noise output.
Bear Rose Botanicals prioritizes integrated pest management, and may use commercially-available organic or biological pesticides upon request. I do not use industrial or agricultural-grade chemicals to treat plants, nor do I do large-scale applications.
You will notified via email at least 24 hours prior to a visit. On the day of, I will ring the doorbell to let you that I've arrived, and then proceed with maintenance as planned. At the end of the day, you'll receive a copy of your personalized care plan, outlining the work that was done, as well as an invoice for services rendered. If the areas needing care are inaccessible, and I can't get ahold of you, then I will depart and email you to reschedule.
Design consultations start with an in-person meeting at your property. There, we'll discuss your needs, wants, and budgets. After the meeting, you'll be sent a design contract, which will outline the terms for estimates, plans, plant palettes, referrals, and other items you may want.
Design consultations require a $40 downpayment prior to scheduling, and then are charged on an hourly basis upon signature of a design contract.
Hardscape services, such as the construction of walls, steps, firepits, patios, water features, and irrigation systems are not available at this time, though I can provide hardscape details for paid designs.
